Our membership includes a variety of settings, with wide socioeconomic and diversity demographics and large differentials in chronic disease prevalence
Our practice members are involved in running the alliance if they wish, and lead on each study. The collaboration between alliance members means learning at one study site is quickly shared, or studies needing more sites can quickly onboard them. Our clients come back due to the speed we can initiate studies, the simplicity of contracting and the high-quality research our member practices offer. Our practices come back because this is General Practice Research run as it should be – by GP’s working collaboratively with sponsors and CRO’s.
All practices who are not experienced NIHR research sites, have a full inspection visit to join the Alliance on a full clinical trial but this does not preclude membership- indeed many practices start with us on small in-service evaluations and then progress to joining NIHR and clinical trials. We believe in supporting colleagues through this journey.
Studies are distributed fairly amongst practices, with the needs of the study foremost in the decision-making process, and equity between the member practices as a second priority.
They are very quick to respond, simple to deal with and offered a great experience.
I have spent my entire career working in research nursing and would highly recommend them.
