Set up in 2024 by GPs,to meet the needs of Sponsors and CROs to achieve high quality Primary Care Research direct with practices.

37 of the leading UK GP research sites have come together to be accessible directly, providing high quality research through one Alliance.

Member practices are vetted for their experience and expertise in research. All participating staff at sites have GCP, GDPR and IATA training in addition to standard clinical training requirements. Many practices also do NIHR research but choose to run their commercial work through the alliance.

The Alliance contracting team works with Sponsors and CRO’s to price up a study, at prices pre-approved by members. This allows for simple pricing and contracting services on behalf of all members, preventing the frequent delays in clinical research that come from separate contracting with all sites. Our last site started in 12 weeks from the first MHRA submission of the IRAS.

Non-research work such as market access or in-service evaluations often start in a matter of days. Our central coders can build searches for practices allowing roll out with ease, and our GP assist with writing and training for in-service evaluations. Peer to Peer.

All sites are working GP practices with a wide demographic of patients. All allocated trial team staff include training in GCP, GDPR , safeguarding, and IATA training as standard.

We can work with you to offer bespoke training to the clinical teams allocated to your trial if there are additional training needs.

Home Care Clinical Trials

Our team can work with each project from inception of the idea, to support with trial design to ensure the best fit for your product and budget, work alongside you and clinical teams to develop protocols that are the right fit for you, but also pragmatic in their delivery within a primary care setting.

Or we can be hands off, just assisting with contractual matters and leaving you to manage the primary care sites. Our research team will liaise with clinical sites throughout the study, supporting any contractual amendments .

We only choose a limited number of trials per year, and work with you to make sure we are the right fit to be your trusted partner. We have an ethos of honesty and transparency, and like to keep open channels of communication throughout the trial

Commercial confidentiality in trials makes the security of documents and communications forefront in our organisation.

We have a dedicated Data Protection Officer overseeing the information pathways, and a dedicated Senior IT manager, applying secure mobile device management technologies and data security technologies. Our IT systems are accredited and audited by CyberEssentials Plus.

All our Alliance Practices work to secure NHS standards, using NHS emails, and protecting patient data to GDPR requirements for special category (health) data
